I'm a licensed General Building Contractor, of which I'm very proud. (I LOVE my work.) And I also carry a Painting Contractor's license as well. So I build it, then paint it. It's all good. I also have a degree in Graphic Design and worked in that field for most of the '90's but seriously missed working in the trades and got back into that fully about 8 years ago. Happy that I did as well. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. If you recall the Rocky movies, they were filmed in one of the neighborhoods that I grew up in. For the past 30 years, however, I've lived in San Jose, California. I'm a veteran of the Viet Nam war. I served proudly and was a member of the crew of an ammunition ship. We were operating off the Viet Nam coast on the very day the war ended in 1973. I'm a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. I made 3 major cruises, Southeast Asia during the war, then back again after the war, as well as a cruise to the Caribbean, S.America, the Panama Canal, and up to the S.F. Bay area and my homeport at the Concord Naval Weapons Station. That's the sum total of my 'war-story.' My life has been interesting and I wouldn't trade it. I've survived a fatal gunshot wound and experienced one of those "NDE's", (Near death experiences), during which time I "SPOKE" with a "Being" from 'the other side.' Yes. Believe it if you will, if not, that's okay too. These are experiences that must be lived in order to be believed. I understand this. *S* And just a couple of years ago, I survived brain surgery to remove a benign brain tumor. No kidding! This time as well, it didn't happen to 'the other guy,' it happened to ME! Still, It's all good. I've completely recovered and am better than ever. I feel like a 30 year old. I'm grateful for it all. I've learned much. So there it is.
